Headteacher’s Welcome
I am delighted to welcome you to Marylebone Boys’ School (MBS), located in the London borough of Westminster. Since our founding in 2014, we have been an Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ school with the report highlighting that “Pupils and their families appreciate this welcoming school. Pupils learn well here. They are polite and respectful, both towards each other and staff… Pupils are kept safe and feel well looked after…”
I am privileged to lead a team of dedicated staff who are committed to excellence and to providing outstanding opportunities for your son. We have developed a well-rounded curriculum to ensure that your son’s progress is at the heart of his MBS experience, challenging him and supporting him regardless of his starting point.
As an all-boys’ school for those in Year 7-11, it is crucial that we tailor the learning experience, providing active, practical lessons in an environment that encourages exploration, investigation and critical thinking. Our teachers consistently challenge our boys to develop the skills required for success in the real world. We were thrilled with our pupils’ achievements in our sixth set of GCSE results in August 2024, which placed us among the top 20% of schools in the UK for Maths and English.
MBS welcomes a diverse student body from different cultures and backgrounds. We work tirelessly to ensure that every student feels safe, secure, and valued within our school community. Inclusion, relationships and wellbeing are at the heart of our school. At MBS, our pastoral system fosters an environment where your son can and will excel. Our pastoral safeguarding and SEND provisions personalise each student’s experience, ensuring they receive the support they need to succeed at their own pace. Additional support is available for students who benefit from learning in small groups or individual sessions. Students are at the centre of MBS and we work collaboratively to promote both academic progress and personal development.
We have the highest expectations of behaviour, with clear rewards and sanctions in place. Your son will find a warm and welcoming school, but one where he is also expected to contribute to our collective success. We uphold the highest professional standards from both staff and students, and we are committed to working in partnership with families. Throughout your son’s time at MBS, your involvement will be essential. We encourage you to support him in his studies and help him meet his responsibilities as outlined in the Home-School Agreement.
We look forward to providing your son with a well-rounded education that will support him to develop into a professional, productive and positive young man.
Mr Richard Ardron,
