On Thursday 29 November, the Ancient Civilisations enrichment students went to the Sir John Soane's Museum with Ms Legg and Ms Alnajafi.
We learnt about the lives of the Soane family. We toured around the museum and dived into the fascinating world of ancient culture. Taking a break from the modern world, we saw many interesting artefacts, such as Greek vases, an Egyptian alabaster sarcophagus and precious Chinese pottery. We particularly learnt a lot about Greek and Roman mythology. All students asked intuitive and intelligent questions, showing a real insight into the ancient world.
Sadly, there were no cameras allowed in the museum, so the only photos we could take were from the outside. The boys had a phenomenal time, learning about the history of the museum and the ancient world.
