Armistice Assembly

On Monday morning, we held a whole-school assembly to commemorate the Armistice of World War One (WW1). There were several speakers throughout the morning, including teachers and pupils. They professionally and sensitively observed this important presentation. Dr Harrison, Head of Humanities, discussed the origins and impact of WW1 and how we can honour this important day. He also explained why people choose to wear a white poppy and what it symbolises.
