As Long as I Have Music

At the end of March, the school community gathered and were entertained in our annual Spring Concert. The choir sang a rendition of As Long As I Have Music by Nancy Price and Don Besig, which summed up the evening perfectly.

Our Year 7 pupils performed alongside our older students, including four Sixth Form musicians. The evening showcased the wonderful talent that our aspiring musicians possess. From piano compositions, a violin ensemble, a guitar piece, group and solo vocal performances and band collaborations, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

Our team of Music teachers have worked hard to prepare our boys for the evening and the hard work certainly paid off. The Djembe drumming group opened the evening with a lively and rhythmic West African medley and the evening was crowned with an extremely enjoyable interpretation of the aptly named Leap Year Blues.

Congratulations must go to all the students who participated and showed great composure when performing in front of a live audience. A big thanks to Mr Terry and the Peri Music Teachers who prepared the students so well.
