On Tuesday 10 December, pupils who are part of the Rising Futures programme visited the offices of St James' Place, a FTSE-100 wealth management company, to find out about careers in the financial services industry.
The boys attended presentations on the skills and qualifications needed to get into the sector and learnt some fun facts about the financial services industry.
After the morning presentations, the group was given a tour of the company’s terrace with amazing views across London and found out about the different departments that operate in the building.
After lunch, the boys took part in the 'speed networking' activity where students worked in groups with members of staff who rotated around the group answering all of the students' questions.
The hosts noted that the boys asked interesting questions and engaged with the staff in a professional manner. Many of the boys were inspired to consider the financial services in their future career plans.
Through the Rising Futures programme, pupils are offered coaching sessions and immersive experiences, which allow them to develop valuable life skills.
