On Wednesday evening, MBS hosted our annual Christmas Concert at St Mary's Church in Paddington Green. Mr Imanishi led a fantastic evening of music with performances from our jazz band, djembe group, choir, and orchestra and guitar ensemble.
Our Year 10 GCSE music band also performed a number of Christmas songs, the pieces they are practising for their exams, and accompanied the staff choir in a version of All I Want for Christmas.
Special thanks goes to Ms Elmes who led the choir in renditions of a variety of traditional Christmas carols and popular music, and to Abdullah and Toma who compered the evening.
As well as the musical performances, there were exhibitions of art work and a display of work produced in classical civilisation and archaeology enrichment sessions, and a sale of cake and baked goods which were made in cookery club. Thank you to all teachers and pupils who contributed to making the evening such a success, as well as to our parent association Friends of MBS who ensured, as always, that there was a vast array of sweet and savoury snacks on offer.
Photos and videos from the event will be made available on the school Facebook page.
