The Year 9 Duke of Edinburgh Bronze award group successfully completed their training expedition this week. In groups of five, the boys travelled to Epping Forest, where they carried all their equipment and supplies for two days in the forest, camping at a scout camp overnight. The boys worked as really solid teams, with the tents and cooking equipment split between the group, and each boy taking it in turns to lead the navigation. One group even managed to co-ordinate their food for their evening meal, preparing it together the day before, then cooking and eating as a team round the campfire. Special recognition goes to Toma and Dylan for their leadership and organisational skills throughout the expedition. The boys will go on to complete their assessment expedition on the 15th and 16th July.
