I am delighted to welcome you to Marylebone Boys’ School in the borough of Westminster. We opened in September 2014 and have pupils from Year 7 all the way through to Year 13.
We have a team of dedicated staff who are committed to excellence and providing outstanding opportunities for your child. We expect your child to embrace the MBS experience and contribute to the success of the school.
We are delighted with our school located on North Wharf Road. This site is a brand new, purpose-built secondary school at the heart of the prestigious Paddington Basin area and offers us some excellent on-site facilities and access to high quality local amenities. We are also excited to be opening our Sixth Form Centre, also on North Wharf Road in November 2021.
The school has developed a well-rounded curriculum to ensure that all the pupils' progress is outstanding. Our pupils are at the centre of an active learning and environment which encourages them to explore, investigate and critique. Our teachers constantly challenge our boys to develop the skill set required for success in the real world. We were delighted with our pupils' achievements in our sixth set of GCSE results in August 2024.
MBS has a wide variety of pupils from different cultures and backgrounds. We work tirelessly to ensure that students feel proud of their school, achieve broadly, are safe, secure and feel valued in the school community.
At Marylebone Boys’ School, the pastoral system engenders an environment where your son can and will excel. We have the highest expectations of boys’ behaviour with clear sanctions and rewards. Your son will find a warm and welcoming school but one where he is expected to contribute to the school’s success.
The pastoral system supports students through their tutor and house groups, led by a Head of Year and a Form Tutor. Some students receive additional support in small groups or individual sessions from an extended team of professionals. Student welfare is at the heart of MBS, and we work together to ensure student progress and academic performance.
We expect high professional standards from all staff and students. We aim to stretch and challenge pupils, regardless of their starting points.
We work in partnership with students and parents. During your son’s time at Marylebone Boys’ School, your involvement is key. Please support him with his studies and ensure he can fulfil his part of the Home-School agreement. We look forward to giving your son a rounded education which will develop him into a professional, capable and independent young man.
