Leadership Conference for Sports Leaders

Fifteen Sports Leaders in Year 9 attended a leadership conference this week at Lord’s Cricket Ground and completed several workshops aimed at developing key leadership skills, such as effective communication and organisation. 

The boys were welcomed by GB basketball player Melita Emanuel-Carr (a former Westminster borough student) before attending a coaching workshop where they learnt how to lead a group warm-up using various equipment, which was then followed by an inclusive coaching session where they learnt how to tailor group warm-ups for disabled participants.

The boys will be using their skills learnt in the upcoming primary school events where they will be leading and officiating games.
