Maths challenge success

This week, students across Years 9 - 11 sat the Intermediate Mathematical Challenge organised by the United Kingdom Mathematics Trust and achieved certificates in Gold, Silver and Bronze categories.

The 60-minute, multiple-choice competition is aimed at students across the UK and encourages mathematical reasoning, precision of thought, and fluency in using basic mathematical techniques to solve interesting problems.

Special mentions to John D in Year 11, Tyler P in Year 10 and Andrew K in Year 9, who were the best in their respective years.

Gold certificate winners have also qualified for the next round of challenge, the Kangaroo competition, which will be sat on Thursday 19th March.  Well done to all the boys who took part.
