MBS Sixth Form celebrates its second set of A Level results

MBS Sixth Form has received its second set of A Level results. These were the first public examinations that this year’s cohort have ever sat, and we are very proud of all their efforts, despite the disruption they experienced. Last year, all schools received centre assessed grades.

Highlights of the Key Stage 5 results

11% of A Level grades were awarded the highest mark of A* or A

28% of A Level grades were awarded A*-B

58% of A Level grades were awarded A*-C

50% of students taking A Level Further Maths were awarded A* or A

30% of students taking A Level Maths were awarded A* or A

40% of students taking A Level Philosophy were awarded A* or A

Special mention to the following students who achieved outstanding results

  • Simon who achieved 1 A* and 3As
  • Muhamed who achieved 1 A*, 1 A and 1 B
  • Yahya who achieved 2 As and 1 B
  • Younas who achieved 2 As and 1 B

Destinations

Congratulations to all of our students who have secured places at university. These include:

  • Simon who will read Physics at King’s College London
  • Muhamed who will read Computer Science at King’s College London
  • Younas who will read Law at Royal Holloway, University of London
  • Issam and Mimoun who will read Economics at City, University of London
  • Mohammed who will read Biomedical Engineering at King’s College London

Richard Ardron, Headteacher, commented: “I am delighted to see such fantastic results from our sixth form students. They have faced many difficult circumstances over the last two years, but they have persevered and done us proud. Congratulations to all of them and I wish them the best for their next chapter.”
