During the week of 14th October, forty one pupils travelled to France with the MFL Faculty for their much awaited trip to the capital city. They spent a day enjoying the main sights by bus and by boat, climbing the 669 steps of the Eiffel Tower and walking the 2km stretch of the Champs Élysées (or more for the shopaholics of the group!).
The boys used their trip to Disneyland Paris to practise their French, where they were given the task of completing an interview with a French person. They had even more opportunities to converse in French when they were purchasing their lunch at a local market, before heading to a famous chocolate factory for dessert and where they received a guided visit in French.
The behaviour and professionalism of the boys was impeccable, with both PGL staff and the group’s driver commenting on how polite and well behaved they were. We were also really impressed to see how well they were working together as a team.
The boys fully took advantage of the outdoor space available at the château, playing basketball until 9.30pm in the evenings. Here are some student highlights of the trip:
Jacob really enjoyed getting to experience the French metro system.
Harrison and Jakub loved the boat trip and the evening entertainment.
Lucas J said he was overwhelmed by the view of Paris from the Eiffel Tower.
Amanuel gave a 5* review of PGL facilities.
Photos from the trip can be viewed on Facebook.
