Personal, Social, Health Citizenship and Economic Education overview

At MBS we are committed to providing students with the knowledge, skills and attributes needed to manage their lives, now and in the future. Delivering a broad and balanced life-skills PSHCE curriculum, through our three strands of Relationships and Sex Education (RSE), Health Education and Living in the Wider World is essential for us in helping our young people to stay healthy and safe, learn about the values that make us all part of one community and to prepare them to make the most out of school, work and life.

PSHCE lessons are delivered twice a week, in addition to specific elements taught in the academic curriculum, school assemblies and in collaboration with external providers through set piece events.

The PSHCE scheme of learning can be found at the attached link. It includes an overview for whole curriculum (key stage 3-5) and a more detailed breakdown of each topic taught in each half term. Students' progress in PSHCE will be communicated to parents through the normal school reports for keys stages 3 and 4.

Parents who want to find more information about the types of topics will be covering can do so using these free resources. These are external links and MBS is not responsible for the content.
