On Friday 19 November, we were delighted to host a visit by Dame Mary Beard, Professor of Classics at the University of Cambridge. Professor Beard, accompanied by our Chair of Governors Dr Margaret Mountford, spent time observing a Year 10 Latin lesson taught by Mr Johnson on the story of how Numa became the second king of Rome, as well as a Year 9 Classics lesson taught by Mr Pourre. Our visitors also had a tour of the school and met with the team in the Faculty of Classics and Modern Foreign Languages. We thank Professor Beard for her time and look forward to working together on future projects.
