On Thursday 5th March, we celebrated World Book Day by inviting staff to dress as famous characters from fiction books.
Students were tasked with spotting and correctly identifying as many characters as possible. There were outstanding costumes from every department, with Maths dressed as Harry Potter characters, MFL as characters from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Science as characters from the Chronicles of Narnia. Special mention goes to Ms Biggins for winning the best costume prize for a stunning White Witch costume!
Our book poster competition was won by Edward M in 7D for his poster on The Hobbit. All students in Years 7 to 9 received a book token which can be exchanged for one of a selection of WBD books at participating book stores (including Waterstones and WHSmith), or £1 off any other book.
Enjoy a flavour of some of the costumes by viewing a selection of photos here.
