WWII bomb safely removed from Brondesbury Park

A 500Ib WW2 bomb, which was discovered on a construction site near Marylebone Boys’ School on Thursday 2 March, has been safely removed by bomb disposal experts.

The huge device was successfully defused and has been moved away from the area. On Friday evening hundreds of affected residents began returning to their homes.

The school will therefore open as normal on the morning of Monday 6 March and we are delighted that we will able to resume a normal timetable.
