In preparation for Year 10's week of work experience, we organised a careers day which took place on Wednesday 23 March for all students to learn about using professional body language, communicating effectively in the workplace and utlisting good techniques in interviews.
As part of this day, we welcomed 19 volunteers from local businesses who carried out mock interviews with every student. All the students have received their feedback sheets from these interviews. We are grateful to the volunteers from; A2 Dominion, Addison Lee, BMG, Vodafone, Derwent London, Equinor and Vertex who took time out of their busy schedule to come and support our boys. All the volunteers were unfailingly complimentary about the students. We would also like to thank Emily and Jessica from the Paddington Partnership who helped to organise the event. As well as their feedback sheets, all students have received the logbook that they need to complete during work experience. Please ensure your son takes this to his placement every day and that you see it too. We hope that all the students enjoy their work experience and can apply the techniques they learnt during the careers day.
