During the last week of the Spring term, our Year 10 students undertook a period of work experience. This was the first time that we had been able to run this programme since the start of the pandemic and we are delighted that this important part of the students’ personal and professional development could return to the CEIAG curriculum.
Students experienced work in a range of industries including, but not limited to, education, healthcare, construction, hospitality, construction and the media. As the students approach their mock exams, the start of year 11, their GCSE exams next summer and ultimately the choices they have to make about their future, we hope that this period of work experience has opened their eyes to the opportunities available to them but also the demands of the professional world. The feedback that we have received from employers about the students has been unfailingly positive. The students have been a credit to themselves and MBS.
