Thursday 22 November saw the return of our annual Year 7 concert, during which we showcased the talents of our youngest cohort. This was a fantastic opportunity for students to demonstrate the hard work they had undertaken in class and during their music lessons so far this term.
We were treated to lively vocal performances by the entire year group of “I've Got The Magic In Me” and the classic Beatles track "Here Comes the Sun", as well as a rendition of "Pompeii", a song by the rock band Bastille, performed by our djembe drummers and accompanied by our choir.
Our very own band, The Paddington Bears, performed their own original song titled “Stand Like a Tower”. The audience of staff, parents and other students were very impressed with the quality and energy of the performances. We look forward to seeing the musical development of our Year 7 students throughout their time at MBS.
We thank Ms McGill Wright for organising the entire event and for the dedication of the Music Peri teachers who work with our pupils on a weekly basis.
